The Music of The Police and Sting

Saturday 22 January, 2022

Please note, this is a BYO picnic and alcohol event.

Howie Morgan is back, with his very talented band in this sell-out show which covers the music of Sting’s long career from The Police power trio through to the sublime songwriting of his later career.

Be taken on a journey of songs that defined the music of the 80’s, blending reggae, punk, soul and pop music into anthems that have been etched on our musical memory.

From classics like “Every breath you take” “Message in a bottle” “Roxanne” and “ Every little thing she does”  to his solo albums that featured some of the greatest jazz musicians of that era, you will also hear timeless tracks like “Englishman in New York”  “Fragile”  “If I ever loose my faith” “Fields of gold”  and many more.

Sting’s unmistakable lyrical wit, woven with social and political messages, gained him 16 Grammys and 25 American music awards …

In support is the one and only Helen Shanahan.

Helen is a sensational folk singer/songwriter from Perth, Western Australia.  Helen’s songs ride the joys and sorrows of love and life and draw the listener into an articulate and heartfelt world of story, melody and guitar, through her eyes.  She has sung alongside Missy Higgins, Passenger and Tim Minchin.  Helen is signed to Mushroom Music Publishing, and has released 4 full length recordings, which have featured on TV shows Home and Away and Neighbors.

So join in the fun and experience the magic of a sunset picnic and this heart warming music under the summer stars.

Please note that The Government is asking that Covid-19 vaccination proof and ID documents are provided on arrival.
