Please note, this is a BYO picnic and alcohol event.
This night will feature a double bill…
The Human Highway return to the Quarry Amphitheatre with a show that captures the essence of the gentle folk and country-rock of albums like “Comes A Time”, to the electric guitar driven rock of the Crazy Horse material.
Fronted by long time lovers of Neil Young, David Hyams and Rose Parker, the 6 piece line up also includes some of WA’s finest musicians – bassist Roy Martinez, drummer Russell Wilson, fiddler Adam Gare, and Jeremy Threlfall on pedal steel and guitar.
“It’s not too much of a leap of faith when watching The Human Highway to connect with the original music. Blindfolded, I’d struggle to separate David Hyams and Neil Young in an aural line-up.” Bill Quinn, Overheard Productions
The second headline act:
One of WA’s favourite singer-songwriter’s Carus Thompson is coming back to The Quarry Amphitheatre with a special Paul Kelly show.
“When I was a young lad I went to a Paul Kelly concert and it was a light bulb moment”, says Carus. “I loved the storytelling, the honesty, and most importantly the Australian-ness. Paul Kelly set me on a path to where I am now, without a doubt.”
Carus will be accompanied for this special show by his brother Christian Thompson on vocals, as well as one of Perth’s finest musicians Nathan Gaunt on electric guitar and vocals.
